What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy?

What can I anticipate from my therapist or counsellor?

In order to effect change and cultivate constructive coping mechanisms for emotions and situational reactions, you will need to participate in activities.


Following your initial inquiry, you are encouraged to take advantage of the free 15-minute phone consultation. After that, a meeting for assessment will be scheduled to discuss your present requirements and ambitions. You get the chance to ask any questions during the evaluation to make sure CBT is suited for you and that we are a good fit. If you think CBT might not be right for you, you are under no obligation to continue with treatment.


You will be required to sign a therapeutic treatment contract outlining the roles of the client and therapist if you choose to proceed with therapy. Topics including permission, safeguarding, supervision, payment information, cancellation policy, illness, and terminating will all be covered. Additionally, the agreement guarantees the provision of therapy. The contract will be provided to you in copy. Please be aware that changes may be made to any treatment contract.


If someone else is covering the cost of your therapy, they will need to sign a third-party agreement and won't be able to access your information until you give permission.
